Repeat the process with the second half of the vegetables, add the cheese over the top. top with the breadcrumbs.Pour tomato juice over all. Bake 45 minutes or until bubbly and heated through.

Make Your Own salad dressings (and are diabetic friendly!)

Impress your friends and family with your own house salad dressing. No matter how perfect your lettuce and other ingredients, the dressing can make or break your salad. If you are looking for something special, you should try one of these associations. And you can always have the basic recipe, add or subtract ingredients to your recipe. Here are two options, French Dressing, No French French oil or sauce made with ketchup. All these recipeswith the diabetic diet works!

The first recipe is from my collection of vintage recipes. And 'old recipe from a church in the Midwest.

MADE homeMADE vinaigrette with ketchup

1 / 2 cup salad oil
1 / 4 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon red pepper (few)
1 / 2 cup sugar *
1 / 2 cup ketchup
1 / 2 medium onion, grated
Juice of 1 / 2 lemon

Place all ingredients in a glass jar and shake well. Store in refrigerator indefinitely.

* For diabeticsReplace sugar with Splenda granular, and you have your own homemade salad dressing diabetic.

NO OIL French dressing

1 can (10 3 / 4 oz) reduced fat, reduced sodium tomato soup, undiluted
1 / 3 cup Splenda granular *
1 / 3 cup cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon grated onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 / 2 teaspoon ground mustard
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 / 2 teaspoon paprika
1 / 4 teaspoon pepper

In a bowl with a whisk until all ingredientsmixed. Store remaining dressing in a jar in the refrigerator. Shake or stir well before using.

* Sugar can be substituted for the Splenda.

Garlic dressing

1 cup low-fat sour cream
1 / 2 cup nonfat mayonnaise
1 / 3 cup skim milk
2 teaspoons SPLENDA
2 green onions, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
1 / 8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

In a small bowl, stir together the sour cream, mayonnaise, milk andSplenda. Mix the onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate for at least an hour before serving.
