Summer is the perfect time for a salad like this. The ingredients of this salad are fresh and healthy. We usually think of as salad out. Wild rice is not rice but a grass and is also the grain of the state of Minnesota. Summer is a time of family reunion - a lot of days outside meetings, days at sea, or even a simple picnic in a park, this salad is the perfect dish to take home and share.

My friend, Dawn, in Knoxville, TNwas willing to share the recipe with me, and I want to share it for others to enjoy. Apply to a court of his family reunion every year in July served. As with all recipes, great hand-me-down, or share with friends there to play some in the crowd. I like this idea, because you can start with a small amount and adjust seasoning to your taste. Remember you can always add, but that is not too much of some ingredients in a bowl.

SaladIngredients

3 cups rice, cooked
1-1/2 cups wild rice, cooked
Cook the rice the day before and store in a sealed container or bag. It 's the same premise as does the fried rice - cooled rice is what works! When you are ready to get to mix, stir the rice. E 'sticky and this is exactly what you want.
½ cup raisins
¼ cup toasted sesame seeds
½ cup toasted almonds
¾ cup chopped green olives

DressingIngredients

¼ cup rice vinegar
¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
¼ cup brown (apple wine) vinegar
1 / 4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 / 3 cup of olive oil or salad oil
2 teaspoons liquid smoke
1-2 teaspoons or 1-2 packets of sugar or sugar alternative substitutes (Splenda is usually what I use).
2-3 dry soup mix package Important Note - all you need 2 to 3 teaspoons of seasoning. The dry soup mix is not the size of the packageserves 3 to 4 people. If you are a service package size. Each brand or design work, and this is important, because not all brands available are national. Dawn used Knorr flavor of the beef broth MBT. In emergencies, packets of seasoning can be used to come with the ramen noodles. Remember, if you are high in sodium, though this is a light diet. They can also be dried soup base mix - just 2-3 teaspoons or just to your taste.
1 / 2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 / 2 teaspoon driedParsley

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. This is it!
Pretty easy to do - go fast and ready.

The amounts in this recipe is a great group. Try to cut in half the amount for a smaller group. It 's the perfect outdoor area, because you have questions, food spoilage in salad with mayonnaise, but you have no common sense in all non-refrigerated food left for long periodsTime.
